Álvaro Costa joined the Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga in 2016. The themes in the "Last Judgement", his favourite painting, mirror his strong sense of duty and responsibility. EP 2 - António Machado
António Machado joined the Museum's staff in 2015. He rediscovers the city every day through the 18th century painting View of Lisbon. This surveillance guard doesn't really know why he loves this artwork; maybe it's the colours, the details, the wide dimension. Conversations with the visitors fill his days the same way this painting fills his eyes.

EP 4 - Dulce Gonzaga
Dulce Gonzaga joined the MNAA in 2006, but her first visit to the Museum came by the hand of her grandfather when she was 5 years old. She came across the infamous painting "Hell" during one of those visits. More curious than haunted, she returns years later as an employee, to rediscover that strange image that stayed with her ever since.

EP 5 - Jeanine Baptista
Jeanine Baptista arrived from the Azores in 2021. The pieces she encounters every day at the Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga fuel her imagination, but it’s the hypnotic (and perhaps supernatural) effect of the divine light in Domingos Sequeira's Adoration of the Magi that truly captivates Jeanine.

EP 8 - Paulo Pires
Each day, Paulo Pires' routine alternates between long hours of surveillance and the frenzy of errands, requiring him to be constantly on the move. At the MNAA, it's rare to find him standing still, but in this epsidode, he pauses before the famous “Temptation of St. Anthony” by Hieronymus Bosch, a painting beyond anything Paulo could have ever imagined.

EP 9 - Pedro Miranda
Pedro Miranda is one of the longest-serving employees at the MNAA. He has witnessed walls transform, colleagues come and go, new acquisitions, and hundreds of thousands of visitors. The one thing that hasn’t changed, according to Pedro, is Level 2, where his favourite pieces remain, unaltered and untouched: the iconic Namban folding screens.
