EP 5 - The oldest wine produced in Portugal
Portugal is home to the oldest wine exported to Brazil. In Serra da Arrábida, Periquita wine, from the José Maria da Fonseca house, began to be exported to Brazil in 1850. António Maria Soares Franco presents the cellar and the preserved barrels that are close to completing two centuries.

Bela pelo Mundo was at a palace built in the 18th century, but with roots in the 16th century, at the time of the colonization of Brazil. It was around the palace of the Counts of Anadia that the city of Mangualde was established. 20 km away from Viseu, in the province of Beira Alta, in the Dão sub-region.

It was from the balcony of the Paço dos Arcos Palace that Dom Manuel I saw the caravels leave for the Indies. Before the colonization of Brazil, with a vocation for great navigations, Portugal already benefited from the discovery of the maritime route to India, which guaranteed the spice trade for centuries.
